US Treasury Chief: West’s current assistance enough to Ukraine through the end of the year
The current Western financial assistance to Kiev will last until about the end of this year, but Washington and other allies of Ukraine remain determined to continue supporting the Kiev regime – as noted by US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, TASS reports
As Yellen noted, if hostilities in Ukraine continue, the United States will have to ‘continue to work with partners to provide Kiev with the necessary support’.
“We will also have to focus on longer-term reconstruction needs in Ukraine,” she added.
According to her, the participants of the spring session of the governing bodies of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank discussed Ukraine’s financial needs and ways to help Kiev.
