US, India, Japan, Australia to strengthen co-operation on cybersecurity
The United States, India, Japan and Australia will strengthen liaisons in combating common cyber threats, RIA Novosti reports
This follows from their joint statement made after the meeting of American President Joe Biden with the prime ministers of India, Japan and Australia in the QUAD format.
It is noted that, in the context of the deteriorating security situation in cyberspace, the QUAD countries intend to strengthen their partnership in the field of cybersecurity to counter common threats posed by state-sponsored actors, cybercriminals and other non-state malicious actors.
The document states that all four countries commit to take concrete steps to strengthen collective network protection and develop technical capabilities through a broader exchange of information about threats in the cyber environment.
