US House of Representatives preparing impeachment of Biden for involvement in corrupt ties
The House of Representatives of the US Congress is going to conduct an investigation to impeach President Joe Biden, who, along with his family, is suspected of participating in corruption schemes abroad – as noted by Speaker of the Congress’ lower house Kevin McCarthy, TASS reports
According to the House Speaker, 'Biden uses the weaponisation of government to benefit his family and deny Congress the ability to have the oversight'.
“When Biden was running for office, he told the public he has never talked about business. He said his family has never received a dollar from China, which we prove is not true. This is rising to the level of impeachment inquiry, which provides Congress the strongest power to get the rest of the knowledge and information needed,” McCarthy said.
In May, Republicans from the United States House Committee on Oversight and Accountability reported that they had received evidence that members of the Biden family and persons associated with them had previously allegedly received millions of dollars from abroad through a network of companies.
According to Committee Chairman James Comer, ‘this is a complex and suspicious network of over 20 shell companies that the Biden family and associated individuals have used for their own enrichment. Most of these firms were limited liability companies created while Biden was vice president’. According to Comer, bank records show that the Biden family, their business associates and their companies received over $10m from foreign nationals’ and their related companies.
