US health regulator allowed Elon Musk’s company to implant second chip in human brain

Elon Musk’s Neuralink, developing chips for human brain, has received approval from the US health regulator to implant its brain chip – called Telepathy – to the second participant in the experiment, RIA Novosti reports

According to The Wall Street Journal, ‘the US Food and Drug Administration gave a green light to Elon Musk’s Neuralink to implant its brain chip in a second person, signing off on the company’s proposed fixes for a problem that occurred in the first test participant’.

It is noted that in order to settle the problem with ultrathin wires coming loose, which the company previously mentioned, it was proposed to embed part of the wires deeper into the brain.
