US deported over 270 thousand migrants in fiscal year 2024

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement deported more than 270 thousand unauthorised immigrants in fiscal year 2024 which ended on September 30th, TASS reports

The department’s documents note that during the reporting period, service employees expelled 271,484 migrants to 192 countries, which is almost twice as many as in 2023 (142,580 people).

This deportation rate was the highest since fiscal year 2014, when some 316,000 migrants were deported.
