Upon arrival in Shklov, Lukashenko asked how things are going under district chairmanship of Bartosh

Upon arrival in Shklov, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko asked the recently appointed head of the district, Sergei Bartosh, about the current situation in the area, how the harvesting campaign is progressing, and what impressions he can share about working in a new place (until recently, Mr. Bartosh headed the Ministry of Agriculture and Food), BelTA reports

"My first impressions are as follows: the base and the land are good, and we need to work with people a little bit," Mr. Bartosh said.

"Just a little bit… This is the main thing," the President noted.

"Well, technology also matters, it is the key point,” the district head continued.

Aleksandr Lukashenko gave a piece of advice to the new leader on how to work with people, “Remember, there have always been people with their own vision here, having a special attitude towards technology. It is actually me who is grateful that you agreed. Taking into consideration your character, there should be order here. I am already receiving first reports about your work, and they say: ‘Well, it’s hardy possible to talk too much with this man. If he instructs to do something, then this should be done. He is saying everything correctly’. So, true, it is necessary to place demands. People know how to do everything."

"I have driven half the district now. They have tilled the soil in the way that I did not see in the west of the country. Not a single plant has been left around the utility poles. They have mowed down everything. I have noticed no [untidiness], though I was looking meticulously at everything. They know how to do it. Therefore, it is necessary to do it everywhere, and not only in places where the President or you will pass,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.
