Upon his arrival in Grodno, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko reminded officials about field stones, BelTA reports
The President began his working trip to Grodno, asking Yuri Karaev, the Aide to the President – Inspector for the Grodno Region, whether they had picked up stones from the fields.
“We’ve removed 60 percent,” he reported.
“What about the remaining 40 percent?” asked the Head of State.
Aleksandr Lukashenko was assured that works were underway, with the necessary forces being mobilised, including from educational institutions and industrial enterprises.
The Belarusian leader drew attention to the problem of unremoved stones in the fields a week earlier during his working trip to the Oshmyany District of the Grodno Region. This can lead to machinery failure during harvesting campaign.
“If it hits a harvester – costing $0.5m – it will definitely break,” the President noted.
