It is noted that the Deep Robotics X20 bionic robot is equipped with a 3D navigation system and is able to walk up stairs and move autonomously along a pre-laid route. An operator can control it using a remote control, while the robot can withstand a load of up to 20kg. It also has an industrial-grade waterproof and dust-proof housing enabling it to work in extreme conditions.

“Light radars, laser scanners, temperature, humidity and heat sensors, as well as gas analysers that assess the content of methane and hydrogen in the air have been installed on the robot dog,” the company’s press service said.

It is clarified that the data collected with the help of robot dogs, drones and other solutions can be used in the future to build a model of a safe mine.

“In the future, thanks to remote-controlled solutions, some extractive industries may become almost unmanned. But at the same time, many people will be needed able to manage digital solutions for mines and combines,” the press service added.
