Ulakhovich, Rakhmanin discuss FAO project activities in Belarus
Vladimir Ulakhovich, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Hungary, has held a working meeting with Assistant Director General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia Vladimir Rakhmanin. The participants of the meeting shared views on topical issues of international partnership and experience exchange in the area of food security while also positively noting the successful expert dialogue between the FAO and the Eurasian Economic Commission.
As reported on the website of the Belarusian diplomatic mission, the diplomats were provided with information on the main directions and experience of the work of the FAO Regional Office in Budapest.
In his turn, the Belarusian Ambassador noted the key approaches to Belarus’ agrarian policy, providing sustainable and efficient development of the country’s agricultural and food sectors. The two sides also discussed the framework conditions for co-operation and FAO project activities in Belarus, noting the constructive and consistent nature of the interaction.
