Ukrainian Defenсe Minister asked Spain for additional military assistance
Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov turned to his Spanish counterpart Margarita Robles with a request for additional assistance for Kiev, particularly, the supply of anti-aircraft systems, RIA Novosti reports
As Reznikov noted during a joint press conference with the head of the Spanish Defence Ministry, anti-aircraft systems today are ‘priority number one’ for Kiev.
He also stressed that the Ukrainian side is interested in the experience of the Spanish fleet, especially in the field of amphibious operations, which are associated with amphibious landings.
“The Spanish Navy is one of the most highly qualified, experienced and best in the world. And we are interested in everything that can help us improve our level and capabilities,” the head of the Ukrainian defence department added.
Reznikov expressed his gratitude to the Spanish authorities for the assistance provided to Kiev.
