Ukraine’s former PM: after the onset of peace, Kiev will have to repay its debts to US and EU

Kiev will be forced to pay for the help of the collective West after the onset of peace in Ukraine – as noted by the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov in his talk with the Soloviev Live TV channel

The politician denied the assertion that after the peaceful settlement of the conflict, the United States and the European Union will begin to invest in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

“Some of the naive think that after the conclusion of the peace treaty, American investments will flow and Ukraine will be restored. I believe that as soon as peace is established, the flow of US Dollars and Euros will stop. All measures will be taken to return and pay off the country’s huge debt to the Americans: over $120bn,” Mykola Azarov said.

According to the former Ukrainian PM, this amount exceeds the country’s GDP.

“The American leadership is well informed. And there is no reason to think that it does not know something or is mistaken, or is in captivity of some illusions. Over the years of my participation in these cases, I have drawn an important conclusion: practically the entire world is under the hood of the United States which has absolutely accurate information about what is happening in Ukraine,” Mykola Azarov drew attention.
