Ukraine, Finnish ICEYE signed agreement on space reconnaissance
Ukraine has signed an agreement on space reconnaissance with the Finnish company ICEYE which specialises in satellite technologies, RIA Novosti reports
The Telegram channel of Ukraine’s Defence Ministry informed, “The Defence Ministry of Ukraine has signed a memorandum with ICEYE to deepen co-operation in the field of space reconnaissance. The agreement is aimed at strengthening liaisons in the field of remote sensing of the Earth.”
It is also indicated that the Finnish company manufactures microsatellites and has one of the world's largest constellations of radar satellites.
According to the Deputy Defence Minister of Ukraine, Kateryna Chernogorenko, Kiev hopes that co-operation will ‘significantly improve the reconnaissance activities’ of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
