Ukraine expects to receive additional funding from US
Ukrainian authorities hope that the new decision of the United States of America will include budget revenues that will be used to assist Kiev – as noted by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Oleg Nikolenko, RIA Novosti reports
The head of the White House, Joe Biden, signed the law on September 30th, approved in Congress. The document envisages continued funding of government work for a period of 45 days – until November 17th, though it did not specify the provision of funds to Ukraine.
“The Ukrainian authorities are currently actively working with their American partners to ensure that the new US budget decision, developed over the next 45 days, includes new funds to help Ukraine. Let’s not forget that internal political discussions related to the American political process are currently ongoing in the United States,” Nikolenko added.
