UK to help Poland build defence line on eastern border

Polish Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said that the UK would assist Poland in building a line of defensive fortifications on the border with Russia and Belarus as part of the East Shield programme, TASS reports

It is reported that a group of British engineering troops will arrive in Poland in the near future to familiarise themselves with the area before continuing their mission.

Earlier it was reported that the Polish authorities will purchase at least 150 armoured vehicles, as well as deploy additional drones on the borders with Russia and Belarus as part of the East Shield programme.
