This information came from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

It is also reported that the astronauts will be stationed on the station in turns for about six months and will engage in the maintenance of facilities, including Japan’s experiment module Kibo, and in scientific experiments at the ISS. It is planned that they will be delivered to the station by a NASA spacecraft.

Astronauts Yui and Onishi previously worked on the ISS in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

JAXA announced plans to continue participation in the ISS project until 2030.
