Turkiye wants to improve ties with SCO

Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Guler said that his country intends to improve ties with the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation (SCO), TASS reports

It is noted that Turkiye intends to improve ties with the SCO, but – as noted by Mr. Guler – the country’s priority is ‘to fulfil its obligations to NATO as an important ally’.

Following the NATO summit in July, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that his country intends to become a full member of the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation.
