Turkiye aims to more than double trade turnover with UAE
The Turkish authorities intend to increase trade turnover with the United Arab Emirates to $50bn annually, TASS reports
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced Turkiye’s ambition to elevate the trade volume between Ankara and Dubai at a meeting with representatives of international investment firms during the World Government Summit in Dubai.
“President Erdogan received representatives of international investment companies in Dubai. He said that Turkiye’s trade with the UAE exceeded $20bn a year and the goal is to bring it to $50bn,” noted the oficial X account of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkiye.
The Turkish leader also invited international capital to invest in the country, noting that there are currently about 600 UAE-capital companies operating in Turkiye.
