Three quarters of French unhappy with Macron as president, the poll shows

The results of an Ifop survey for the Journal du Dimanche newspaper indicate that three quarters of French residents are dissatisfied with President Emmanuel Macron, RIA Novosti reports

According to the newspaper, never since the looting of the Arc de Triomphe at the height of the Yellow Vests protests in December 2018 has the French leader’s approval rating fallen so low (25 percent), while the disapproval rating has not risen so high (75 percent of those dissatisfied).

According to the publication, Macron, in particular, is accused by some of having a ‘disproportionate ego that has spoilt him’, as well as of the ‘fiasco of dissolving’ the parliament, which made France ‘ungovernable’.
