Tesla to build plant in Mexico

During a press conference Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador said electric car maker Tesla has committed to building a plant in the country’s northeast, TASS reports

As the Mexican leader underlines, he recently spoke with Elon Musk, who is the director of the American company Tesla.

“There is already an understanding that they will indeed invest in Mexico and open a plant in Monterrey, making a number of commitments to combat the water shortage problem. They will help in this regard,” he said.

Andrés Manuel López Obrador added that the company would soon reveal more details about the opening of its plant near Monterrey, in the state of Nuevo Leon in northeastern Mexico.
