Tasmagambetov: CSTO stands for independent, unified and peaceful Afghanistan
The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation, Imangali Tasmagambetov, has held a working meeting with the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations for Afghanistan, Head of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) at the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation, Roza Otunbayeva, sb.by reports with reference to the CSTO press service
The Special Representative of the UN Secretary General informed about the main directions of international assistance carried out under the auspices of the UN in the interests of ensuring peace and stability in the region and for the reintegration of Afghanistan into an international community. She also shared observations in connection with the country's internal political development.
In turn, Imangali Tasmagambetov stressed that the CSTO member states advocate the establishment of Afghanistan as an independent, unified and peaceful state free from terrorism, war and drugs.
