Szijjarto: manhunt for politicians and governments who oppose migration underway in the EU

The State Secretary for International Communication and Relations at the Cabinet Office of the Hungarian Prime Minister, Zoltan Kovacs, quoted Peter Szijjarto as saying, "There is a hunt underway against politicians and governments who oppose migration." The Foreign Minister explained that he was referring to the fines that had been imposed on Hungary for refusing to comply with previous court decisions related to the rules for accepting migrants.

Noting that Hungary is being punished for protecting its borders, and Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini is being persecuted for protecting his country, Peter Szijjarto suggested, “Has everyone here in Europe totally lost their minds?

The Hungarian Foreign Minister pointed to double standards, manifested, in particular, in the fact that Budapest is threatened with fines, and Berlin is not criticised for closing the borders of the Schengen area.
