Szijjarto: blocking Russian oil supplies to Hungary ‘orchestrated’ in Brussels rather than in Kiev
Blocking oil supplies from the Russian Federation to Hungary and Slovakia was orchestrated not by the Kiev authorities, but by the Brussels elite in order to blackmail pro-peace countries – as stated by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, TASS reports
“More than a week has passed and the European Commission has done nothing. There are only two options: the European Commission is either too weak to make the candidate country (Ukraine) respect the fundamental interests of the two EU member states, or this whole thing was orchestrated not in Kiev, but in Brussels, and not the Ukrainian government, but the European Commission wants to blackmail two pro-peace countries,” the diplomat wrote on his Facebook page.
Peter Szijjarto expressed the opinion that the European Commission and personally Ursula von der Leyen should immediately answer whether they instructed Kiev to block oil supplies. And if not, why didn’t the European Commission take any action during the week?
The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry reiterated that the cessation of pumping of Russian oil by Ukraine undermines the energy security of Hungary and Slovakia and violates the association agreement with the EU.
