Sweden hopes for normalisation of relations between the West and Russia

Swedish National Security Adviser Henrik Landerholm said he hopes for normalisation of relations between Russia and the West, TASS reports

"We must be very clear in our policy towards Russia. I hope, and hope should never leave humanity, that Russia will adapt and become a partner again during my lifetime," Mr. Landerholm said, speaking at the Warsaw Security Forum. Nevertheless, as the Swedish politician stated, ‘the parties are still very far from that’.

In February, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, explained that Moscow had exhausted the limit of kind gestures towards the West and normalisation of relations no longer depended on the Russian side.
