State awards presented by Lukashenko
At today's reception on behalf of the President to mark the Old New Year, Aleksandr Lukashenko has presented state awards to media and cultural workers who achieved outstanding professional success last year. At the same time, the Belarusian leader stressed that not all but ‘a part of the best form the best’ have been celebrated today.
“Everything else will take place throughout this year. I believe heads (since they should primarily act as initiators) will not forget to propose their best workers for awarding, encouragement and other gifts," Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
The Editor of the Department on Coverage of the President’s Activity of the Belarus Segodnya Publishing House, Yevgeny Kononovich, the Head of the Department on Coverage of the President’s Activity of the Belarusian Telegraph Agency, Vladimir Matveev, the Head of the Cultural News Department of the Main Directorate of the National State TV and Radio Company, Mikhail Revutsky, a soloist of the National Academic Folk Orchestra named after I. Zhinovich, Andrei Kolosov, the Chief Director of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre, Anna Motornaya, as well as a soloist and a leading actor of this theatre, Dmitry Shabetya, have been honoured with the Medal of Francysk Skaryna for their fruitful work, high professionalism, significant personal contribution to the development of national journalism and television, outstanding achievements in the field of theatrical and musical art.
A number of media workers have received the Belarusian President’s letters of gratitude for their significant personal contribution to the implementation of the state information policy, high professionalism, objective and comprehensive coverage of the events of the country’s socio-political and socio-cultural life. In particular, three employees of the Main Directorate of the Television News Agency of the National State TV and Radio Company have been honoured: Head of Reporters’ Department Anastasia Benedisyuk, Deputy Head of Political Observers’ Department Ilona Krasutskaya, and Head of Editorial Department Irina Yakovleva.
In addition, the President's letters of gratitude have gone to the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Information Broadcasting of the Second National TV Channel JSC, Svetlana Knutova, the Director of the Morning Broadcasting Directorate of the Second National TV Channel JSC, Tatiana Rudakovskaya, the Head of the Department for Support and Development of Internet Resources of the Belarusian Telegraph Agency, Natalia Yeremich, the Head of the Alfa Radio Broadcasting Department of the Belarus Segodnya Publishing House, Vadim Shepet.
