According to Gwede Mantashe, South Africa has provided data on its stockpiles of nuclear material suitable for the production of weapons to the International Atomic Energy Agency as part of a comprehensive precautionary agreement.

It is reported that the degree of enrichment of uranium available in South Africa is not disclosed, this information is a state secret.
