Singapore lifted all restrictions imposed due to coronavirus pandemic
Singaporean authorities lifted all restrictions that were introduced due to the spread of the coronavirus, according to The Straits Times
The Health Ministry of Singapore notes that at present the situation with the coronavirus pandemic remains stable both in the country and in the world.
“Our COVID situation has remained stable over the recent months, despite increased travel over the year and holidays and China’s shift from zero COVID,” said Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, who is also co-chair of the COVID task force.
From February 13th, masks will not be required to be worn on public transport, as authorities lowered the disease outbreak response level to ‘green’ from ‘yellow’, indicating COVID-19 is not threatening. As far as unvaccinated tourists are concerned, now they are no longer required to do tests for coronavirus and show the results.
"We cannot rule out the possibility of more dangerous strains in the future, but the risks we face now are much lower than a month or two ago,” Singapore Health Minister Ong Ye Kung said.
