Sergeyenko met with President of Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian
Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko has met with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian as part of the visit of the Speaker of the House of Representatives to Iran on behalf of the President of Belarus
Igor Sergeyenko congratulated Masoud Pezeshkian on assuming the office of President. The parties stated that there are no closed topics for discussion and Belarus-Iran mutually beneficial co-operation. During the meeting, the issue of unilateral counterproductive sanctions was discussed.
Belarus and Iran reaffirmed their commitment to common principles: the desire to build a multipolar world, the inviolability of state sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, and equal interaction in the international arena, while also expressing interest in expanding areas of interaction through new projects.
