Sergeyenko honoured the memory of Bereza-Kartuzskaya concentration camp prisoners
The Head of Belarus’ President Administration, Igor Sergeyenko, has today visited the monument to prisoners of the Bereza-Kartuzskaya concentration camp in the Bereza District
Mr. Sergeyenko laid flowers at the memorial sign and got acquainted with the Bereza-Kartuzskaya Concentration Camp, 1934-1939 museum exposition which official opening is scheduled for the eve of National Unity Day: September 16th.
During his working trip, the Head of the President Administration plans to gain familiarity with the activities aimed at preservation of historical memory and historical-cultural heritage, the ideological work at local enterprises, also visiting the Bereza Cheese Factory.
Mr. Sergeyenko will finish his trip with a visit to the historical and memorial site near the village of Bronnaya Gora. Here, more than 50,000 civilians were shot during the Great Patriotic War.
