Sergeyenko: all Belarusian deputies are patriots

All Belarusian MPs are patriots who work for the benefit of the republic – as stated by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Igor Sergeyenko, in his report to President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko today

Mr. Sergeyenko stressed that the House of Representatives has been working in its updated composition for actually five months, and all organisational issues that the Belarusian leader had previously raised have been resolved: in particular, everything related to ensuring the work of deputies, such as workplaces and accommodation.

“All deputies live and work in decent conditions now. Of course, new people have joined us: 20 deputies were elected from the seventh convocation, and ninety people are new, they have different work experience, different experience of legal preparation, different approaches. They all are patriots, they work for the country," the Chairman of the House of Representatives stressed.

There are 73 men and 37 women in Belarus’ deputy corps at present. 75 people have leadership experience at various levels, 10 deputies have academic degrees and titles, and 70 deputies represent political parties.

“These figures indicate that reputable people who represent their regions have been elected,” Mr. Sergeyenko said.
