Scholz’s popularity hit record low in new polling

The results of a poll conducted by the Forsa Institute for Social Research and Statistical Analysis commissioned by RTL and NTV TV channels indicate that the level of support for German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has reached an anti-record, TASS reports

It is noted that 23 percent of voters would vote for the current head of government if they could choose the chancellor by direct vote. According to media reports, this is by far the worst result during Scholz’s tenure as German Chancellor.

At the same time, Germans were asked about potential chancellor candidates from the CDU/CSU bloc. Here, the Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hendrik Wüst, showed the best result with 31 percent, followed by Bavarian Premier Markus Söder (23 percent) and Friedrich Merz (16 percent).
