Belarus’ Defence Ministry welcomed Saudi Arabian Defence Attaché for official visit
An official visit took place by the Defence Attaché of the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Russia and Belarus (concurrently), Major General Saad Mohammed Hossein Alkatiri, to the International Military Co-operation Department of the Defence Ministry of Belarus, aiming to complete the accreditation procedure in Belarus – as reported by the Belarusian defence department’s press service
It is noted that as part of the visit, a meeting was held with the Chief of the International Military Co-operation Department – Assistant to the Defence Minister for Foreign Military Policy, Colonel Valery Revenko. During the meeting, the parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of bilateral military interaction, and outlined specific steps to intensify contacts between the two states’ defence departments.
The press service reported that the accreditation of a military diplomat from Saudi Arabia to the Defence Ministry took place for the first time in 26 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the states.
