Saudi Arabia to prepare 15 stadiums for 2034 FIFA World Cup
Saudi Arabia is going to prepare 15 arenas for the 2034 FIFA World Cup, some of them will be built from scratch, TASS reports
According to Bloomberg, the tournament will be hosted by five cities — Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha and Neom. Several stadiums will be built specifically for the World Cup, while the existing facilities are to be upgraded and expanded up to 40,000 seats to meet the requirements of the International Football Federation. The opening match and the final will be held at the King Salman Stadium, which will accommodate 92,000 fans after construction.
“The stadiums will be equipped with the latest technologies providing comfort to all fans,” said Yasser Al-Misehal, who heads the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.
