Sabalenka remained third in WTA updated ranking
The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has released an updated world ranking, with Aryna Sabalenka remaining third and higher of all female Belarusians, sb.by reports
Victoria Azarenka retained the 19th line, while Aliaksanda Sasnovich, after failing at the Hertogenbosch tournament – where she finished in the first round of the main draw – was knocked out of the top-100 and, retreating 19 positions at once, is now only 117th.
There were no changes in the top-10 compared to the previous version. Polish Iga Swiatek is in the lead, followed by Coco Gauff (USA), Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus), Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan), Jessica Pegula (USA), Marketa Vondrousova (Czech Republic), Jasmine Paolini (Italy), Zheng Qinwen (China), Maria Sakkari (Greece) and Ons Jabeur (Tunisia).
In the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), Egor Gerasimov is above all Belarusians, having improved by two positions to be now 265th.
Italian Jannik Sinner is taking the lead, followed by Carlos Alcaraz (Spain), Novak Djokovic (Serbia), Alexander Zverev (Germany), Daniil Medvedev (Russia), Andrey Rublev (Russia), Alex de Minaur (Australia), Casper Ruud (Norway), Hubert Hurkacz (Poland) and Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria).
It should be noted that Alex de Minaur – due to his victory at the Hertogenbosch tournament – exchanged the ninth place for the seventh, pushing Casper Ruud and Hubert Hurkacz.
