Sabalenka remained 3rd in WTA rankings
The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has updated the world rankings, with Aryna Sabalenka still placed above all Belarusians, retaining the third position after reaching the semi-finals of a major tournament in Washington
Victoria Azarenka has risen one line and is now placed 19th, while Aliaksandra Sasnovich has improved her position by three places to be 98th now.
Poland’s Iga Swiatek is taking the lead, followed by Coco Gauff (US), Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus), Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan), Jasmine Paolini (Italy), Jessica Pegula (USA), Qinwen Zheng (China), Danielle Collins (US), Maria Sakkari (Greece) and Barbora Krejcikova (the Czech Republic).
In the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings, Egor Gerasimov moved from the 259th position to the 258th.
As in the previous version, table of ranks is topped by Italy’s Jannik Sinner, followed by Novak Djokovic (Serbia), Carlos Alcaraz (Spain), Alexander Zverev (Germany), Daniil Medvedev (Russia), Hubert Hurkacz (Poland), Alex de Minaur (Australia), Andrey Rublev (Russia), Casper Ruud (Norway) and Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria).
