Ryzhenkov: UN to be again filled with spirit of San Francisco
This year is very significant for the Republic of Belarus. Not so long ago, it celebrated the 80th anniversary of liberation from the Nazi invaders, and the date became the starting point for a new history of the country: peaceful and creative – as stated by Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov in his speech at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly

"We are proud to have created a socially oriented state where taking care of a person is the most important priority of national policy," the Belarusian diplomat stressed.
Mr. Ryzhenkov reminded, “Next year, we will all celebrate the 80th anniversary of the UN creation. How will the world approach this important date? Will it be accompanied by quarrels and conflicts? With this in view, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has put forward the initiative to hold a global security dialogue.”
The Foreign Minister explained that the initiative is in tune with what was said during the UN sessions. “We will continue to knock on the doors of peace and creation, security and development," he stressed.
Mr. Ryzhenkov also informed that, since last year, a representative international conference on Eurasian security has been held in Minsk. The event – aimed to consolidate political, economic and other processes in the space of Greater Eurasia in the interests of its states and peoples – will be held on October 31st. The diplomat invited everyone to take part in it.
“We must fill the UN with the spirit of San Francisco – which gave life to our organisation – again. We are convinced that it is vital today. It meets the interests of all people on our planet," Belarus’ Foreign Minister stressed.
