Ryzhenkov met with UNDP Resident Representative in Belarus
Belarus’ Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov has met with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in the Republic of Belarus, Liu Renfei, who presented an accreditation letter from the UNDP Administrator on her appointment to this post, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service
Maksim Ryzhenkov congratulated Liu Renfei on her appointment as Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Belarus and assured her of Belarus’ support for the UNDP mandate.
The head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry also expressed hope that the UNDP activities in Belarus would be in line with national interests – aimed to support priority economic sectors in the country.
During the meeting, the two sides shared their views on the results, challenges and prospects of the UNDP activities in Belarus. Our country’s progress in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was also noted.
The parties agreed to continue to make joint efforts to attract international potential for the implementation of international technical assistance projects to assist Belarus in fulfilling tasks for the benefit of the Belarusian state.
