Opinion from France: current Olympic Games are authorities’ attempt to probe moods in society
The current Olympic Games in Paris are another test of the idea of a new ‘normality’ and a new order being introduced into society – as noted by editor-in-chief of the Words and Meanings almanac (France) Elena Kondratieva-Salgueiro during the Minsk-Moscow Union State live broadcast
“These population tests have been conducted regularly since the pandemic, as the authorities want to see if society is ready for tougher and more aggressive actions. Every time it turns out that something doesn’t work somewhere. Therefore, they have to start all over again. In my opinion, the current Olympics – which I recently compared to a ‘naked’ party where even the king turned out to be naked in every sense of the word – is a failure,” the expert stressed.
According to Ms. Kondratieva-Salgueiro, now all pseudo-specialists who have retrained into art historians and biblical scholars, as well as zealous defenders of the new order, including the Russian opposition, are trying in vain but desperately to ‘wash clean’ the Olympics in all possible ways.
“All this bacchanalia has been literally shaking the French press for two days, which for the most part (even the most politically correct) reacted very negatively to what happened. Now a lot of apologies and interpretations are being broadcast live, which in itself already means a complete failure. Anyway, this is a failure in a positive sense, in the sense that even people who are completely far from politics and ideology saw with their own eyes something that obviously shocked them,” she explained.
The expert also added that the Olympic Games in Paris were not only a test of political correctness for formatted European brains, but also an attempt to probe the moods in society.
“This is an opportunity to literally mock and humiliate one of the least peaceful religions, as they say now. The question was immediately raised by society. And what would happen if instead of the Last Supper, e.g., there was an image of Charlie Hebdo [a reference to the terrorist attack in the French weekly Charlie Hebdo]. These questions were asked live on French television, which says a lot. It is also interesting that even Jean-Luc Melenchon [a representative of the left wing] made a very cautious statement, though the left stratum just wants to introduce a new order: from punitive ecology to limitless options for sexology. All this together showed that society is not only unready, but most likely will not be ready for violence. Almost all publicists and journalists have come to the same conclusion that all this grandiose spectacle is not ready for the imposed pseudo-connection – even if some shocking moments are removed from it,” the editor-in-chief of the almanac noted.
