Ryzhenkov held talks with North Korea’s Foreign Minister
On July 24th, during the official visit of the Belarusian delegation to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Pyongyang hosted talks between Belarus’ Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov and North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry
The parties discussed in detail the entire range of bilateral issues and agreed on concrete steps to intensify contacts between the countries at various levels.
Agreements were reached on the next steps to further develop the legal framework and enhance interaction between the foreign ministries, as well as in a number of areas, including healthcare, education, agriculture, culture and sports.
The two ministers noted the convergence of positions and confirmed their focus on continuing joint efforts in order to move towards a just multipolar world order. In this context, the interaction of the two countries within international organisations and the situation in the field of global and regional security were considered.
The North Korea’s Foreign Minister expressed support for Belarus’ efforts to counter illegal sanctions and restrictions by a group of Western states.
