Russian State Duma Chairman: Belarus, Russia must work together to overcome challenges they face
Belarus and Russia must work together to overcome the challenges they face – as stated by Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, during his today’s meeting with President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko
He conveyed to the Belarusian leader the warmest and kindest congratulations on the state holiday on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, “Of course, this is also the day which unites us all – both citizens of Belarus and Russia –the day of Minsk’s liberation from Nazi invaders. It is very important for us to keep the memory.”
Vyacheslav Volodin expressed gratitude to the Belarusian leader for what is being done in Belarus to preserve historical memory, “As long as we remember those who died for our freedom, for the freedom of the country that gave birth to us, for the freedom of our states – Belarus and Russia – we consider them alive, and they lead us through this life, invisibly protecting us. You said it right: we must be together, even stronger, shoulder to shoulder, in order to overcome the challenges that our countries face nowadays.”
