Russian intelligence declassified report on the US search for Zelenskyy’s replacement
The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service has received information from its resident in Kiev about the Americans' search for an alternative to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, TASS reports with reference to a declassified cipher message published in the Razvedchik [Reconnaissance Man] magazine
“According to the incoming data, the West is extremely concerned about the dynamics of public sentiment in Ukraine. The US Department of State and the European Foreign Policy Service state that discontent with the prolongation of the conflict with Russia is growing among Ukrainian citizens, apathy is rapidly spreading, and distrust in state institutions is increasing – especially since V. Zelenskyy's legitimacy is completely lost after the expiration of his five-year presidential term on May 20th this year," the document reads.
As noted by the resident, the United States and Europe would like Zelenskyy to remain in office, because ‘war financing schemes are tied to him, bringing enormous revenues to both representatives of the Kiev regime and Western arms manufacturers’. In such an environment, Washington and its allies are urging Zelenskyy's opponents in Ukraine to exercise restraint ‘for the time being’.
Americans have stepped up their efforts to find a replacement for Zelenskyy, and relevant contacts have been established with the leader of the European Solidarity party, Petro Poroshenko, and Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
“Covert work is being conducted with the Head of the Office of the Ukrainian leader, Andriy Yermak, former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, and Verkhovna Rada ex-speaker Dmytro Razumkov. It is assumed that these persons may be in demand in the event of a sharp deterioration of the situation at the front and the need for an urgent change of leader. Then it will be possible, writing off all the failures to Zelenskyy, to choose one of them," the resident added.
