Russian Foreign Ministry: economic growth of Belarus and Russia is the result of their interaction within Union State
The work of the Russian and Belarusian foreign ministries is always very constructive, despite the scale and complexity of the tasks set – as noted by Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Aleksandr Grushko, on the side-lines of the 16th Verona Eurasian Economic Forum, which is taking place on November 3rd-4th in Samarkand
“Co-operation with the Belarusian side can be regarded in the most positive way. It will continue increasing in all areas, including, of course, in the field of foreign policy," Mr. Grushko said.
The diplomat stressed, “We have our Union State and common security interests. We co-ordinate our foreign policy priorities. As for the economy and people-to-people relations, we will follow the path of further integration. This is envisaged by the Union State programmes, which are consistently being implemented. At present, both Russia and Belarus register an economic growth, and the overall state of the countries’ economies inspires optimism. We look forward with confidence, this is the result of co-operation between our two countries within the framework of the Union State.”
