Russian expert: Belarusian products are of highest quality

Belarusian products are of the highest quality – as noted by Director of the All-Russian Research Institute of Food Biotechnology Irina Abramova during a press conference dedicated to the Zalaty Kelikh International Professional Tasting Competition

“Belarusian drinks are some of the best in the post-Soviet space. Russian consumers enjoy Belarusian products which are of the highest quality. The produce improves with each year; it is well controlled, and therefore manufacturers keep the bar high,” she said.

According to Tatiana Shedko, the First Deputy Chair of the Belgospishcheprom Concern, Belarus takes a responsible approach to the production and promotion of its goods, that’s why they sell well abroad, “Belarus has developed an image as a country that produces high-quality products. We keep up with the times, having mastered the production of import-substituting products and increasing our export potential. About 30 types of drinks are import-substituting while about 20 percent of manufactured products are supplied to the foreign market.”

Tatiana Shedko added that the main export market for Belarusian products is the EAEU member states, “More than half comes from the Russian market: about 50 percent.”
