Russian Armed Forces moved forward in Orekhov direction and repulsed AFU attacks
The Russian Armed Forces advanced at least 200 metres north-east of Novoprokopovka and hundreds of metres north-west of Rabotino, Zaporozhye Region – as stated by the Chairman of the We Are Together with Russia movement, Vladimir Rogov, TASS reports
“There are successes in the north-east of Novoprokopovka, where our forces moved forward at least 200 metres, thus starting to even out the Rabotino bulge. <...> They improved our front edge positions north-west of Rabotino, advancing hundreds of metres,” Vladimir Rogov noted.
Mr. Rogov also added that over the past 24 hours, on March 26th, Russian forces repulsed several Ukrainian army counterattacks in the Orekhov direction.
“There were enemy counterattacks in Rabotino itself, north-west of Nesteryanka and north-west of Verbovoye, where our troops had previously made significant progress. All these counterattacks were repulsed, the enemy's losses were significant,” the leader of the movement cited the facts.
Vladimir Rogov added that in recent days, units from the Chernovtsy Region of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), deployed to this section of the line of contact, have suffered heavy losses in the Rabotino area.
On March 25th, the Chairman of the We Are Together with Russia movement said that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation broke through the defences of the Ukrainian army north-west of Verbovoye in the Zaporozhye Region and advanced 2 kilometres in that area.
At the end of February, Russia’s Defense Ministry stated that Russian units had gained foothold in the settlement of Rabotino in their offensive operation. The Ukrainian forces are still unsuccessfully trying to regain their lost positions by transferring reinforcements from other directions to that area. On March 22nd, Russia’s Defense Ministry announced that the military personnel of Russia’s Battlegroup East had cleared the settlement of Mirnoye in the Zaporozhye Region from the AFU, and improved their tactical position along the front edge in the direction of South Donetsk.
