Russia, Kuwait discussed supply of Russian tanks
Russia and Kuwait have discussed a deal on the purchase of Russian tanks by the Emirate, RIA Novosti reports
Russia’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Vladimir Zheltov, told the Al Qabas newspaper that Moscow is open to all requests from Kuwait in the military sphere. Moreover, the diplomat said that the countries’ representatives had discussed the issue of Kuwait's acquisition of Russian tanks.
Speaking about military co-operation between Russia and Kuwait, Mr. Zheltov noted that ‘the Kuwaiti side has some Russian-made weapons, such as rocket launchers and armoured vehicles, there were talks about a deal to supply tanks’. “We are open to all requests from Kuwait,” he added.
At the end of May, Vladimir Zheltov presented his credentials to the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Mishal Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
