Roscosmos: Soyuz MS-24 cosmonauts to bring quail eggs to Earth
The Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft will bring back a crew, which includes representative of Belarus Marina Vasilevskaya, as well as quail eggs to Earth, BelTA reports
“Cosmonauts at the International Space Station (ISS) put quail eggs in the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft to return to Earth,” the corporation stated.
According to the Roscosmos State Corporation, the ISS carried out preparations for the landing of the Soyuz MS-24 manned spacecraft scheduled for April 6th, including, the preventive maintenance of the mechanisms for sealing the hatches between the spacecraft and the Rassvet small research module, the recharge of the satellite telephone terminal in the spacecraft, and the sampling of surfaces in the Zarya, Zvezda, Poisk, Rassvet, and Nauka modules and at the Soyuz MS-25 for descent to Earth. Moreover, the returning equipment and the instrumentation required for the Magnetic Fabrication, Matryoshka-R and Quail experiments were placed into the spacecraft.
On April 6th, the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft is supposed to bring Belarus’ first female cosmonaut Marina Vasilevskaya, Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky, and NASA astronaut Loral O'Hara back to Earth.
