Rosatom State Corporation to supply medical equipment and radiopharmaceuticals to Belarus
Nuclear Medicine of Belarus and Russia: Prospects and Opportunities for Co-operation seminar – organised by Rosatom State Corporation – was held on the basis of Minsk’s N. Aleksandrov Republican Scientific and Practical Centre of Oncology and Medical Radiology
The even aimed to exchange the experience between specialists from various fields involved in radiation diagnostics and therapy, as well as production of domestic medicines and the radiopharmaceutical industry.
Sergei Polyakov, the Centre’s Director, noted that modern conditions require the activation and development of import substitution trends and technological sovereignty, “The joint work of specialists in the use of nuclear medicine technologies will contribute to the introduction of new methods of diagnosis and treatment of neoplasms and, as a result, improve the quality of medical care provided to patients.”
The parties signed a co-operation agreement between Rusatom Healthcare JSC, a single integrator in the field of nuclear medicine, radiation technologies and radioisotope complex within Rosatom State Corporation, the country office of Rosatom State Corporation in Belarus, the representative office of the Russian Export Centre JSC in Belarus and the Belarusian distributor and exporter of medicines and medical equipment EuroPharmIntegration.
As envisaged by the document, Rosatom State Corporation plans to organise the supply of medical equipment and radiopharmaceuticals to Belarus.
