Retirement age may increase in Poland
The Polish authorities do not rule out that the country may raise the retirement age – as stated by Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy Katarzyna Pelczynska-Nalecz, TASS reports
“I do not rule out this [raising the retirement age]. Actually, the most important thing for now – and this should definitely work – is to create an economic incentive for older people that will make it profitable for them to work longer," Ms. Pelczynska-Nalecz said, adding that Poland has the lowest retirement age for women in the EU.
In Poland, men start receiving an old-age pension at the age of 65, and women retire at the age of 60.
