Radio Pobeda broadcasting launched in Belarus

The Radio Pobeda [Victory] – a joint project of the Belarus Segodnya Publishing House and Alfa Radio – has been launched in Belarus, broadcasting wartime songs and famous melodies

Radio Pobeda also includes original author's programmes, poems, archival recordings, radio performances, and thematic projects. Among the song performers are such iconic singers as Leonid Utesov, Klavdia Shulzhenko, Mark Bernes, Iosif Kobzon, the Pesnyary band, and others. Moreover, with information reports, the Victory’s main voice – of Yuri Levitan – often sounds on the air.

"Radio Pobeda is an Internet radio station for those who cherish the history of our country, who feel and realise the inextricable connection with its past, present and future," Vadim Shepet, the Head of the Alfa Radio Broadcasting Department, stressed. “We plan to progressively develop the radio station, add new projects and author's programmes prepared – among other things – at the request of our listeners.”
