Putin ordered to sign agreement on common energy market of Russia and Belarus

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed an order supporting the agreement on the formation of the Union State common energy market, TASS reports

The document requesting the signing of the agreement at the top level has been published on the Russian legal information portal.

“To accept the proposal by the government of the Russian Federation on signing of the agreement. To consider the signing of the agreement stipulated by the present decree at the top level reasonable,” the order reads.

The creation of a common energy market, in particular, was discussed during the visit of the Russian leader to Belarus in May 2024.
