Putin congratulated Lukashenko on 30th anniversary of his tenure as Belarus’ President

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has congratulated President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his tenure as President of the Republic of Belarus, sb.by reports with reference to the Head of State’s press service

“The entire modern history of Belarus, that is inextricably linked with your name, heralded the establishment of modern state institutions and considerable successes in social and economic spheres. Belarusian voters have entrusted you with the highest state post six times in a row, and this is, undoubtedly, testifies to your tremendous authority and prestige among compatriots,” the congratulatory message reads. “It is hard to overestimate your personal contribution to the development of friendly relations and fruitful co-operation between our countries, to asserting and strengthening the Union State and promoting mutually beneficial integration processes in the Eurasian space.”

The Russian leader stressed that he would be glad to continue constructive and friendly dialogue, as well as close-knit joint work, for the benefit of the fraternal peoples of Russia and Belarus.

“I sincerely wish you strong health, prosperity and success in government activities,” Vladimir Putin noted.
